Clay Session times: 10am-12pm or afternoon session 1.30-3.30pm

Investment: $110.00 (includes two sessions one week apart)

Children & Clay

Clay is an expressive medium stimulating children’s imaginations. Children of all ages enjoy the experience this medium provides when pounded, rolled, stretched and squelched. Working with clay improves dexterity, the firm nature of the clay allows hand and arm muscle groups to work in unison, whilst moulding and shaping pieces to their desired shape. Clay enables children the permanency of creation. Pieces can be created to last forever & self esteem is boosted when a child experiences first hand, their creation being used. Children’s imaginations are stimulated through the use of clay as their minds are challenged to develop new ideas. Clay is an expressive medium which is ideal for enhancing development & holistic learning.

Hand building

Children can design & make a plate, plaque or whatever their heart desires glazed and decorated in their own individual style. Suitable 5+ years (two classes recommended).

Pottery Wheel Work

Children/adults can create and decorate pieces using wheel throwing techniques. Work can be glazed and fired in the kiln for permanent use in the home or given to relatives & friends as a gift.

Suitable 6+ years (two classes recommended)

Program Cost:

Clay Classes: $115.00 for 2 sessions

Full Day Workshop Limestone Sculpture: $100.00

Credit Card Payment Mastercard & Visa available

Clay Program cost includes x2 sessions per child

Session Duration 2hrs each

All materials, clay & kiln firing included

Two classes a week apart are needed to make and decorate a piece this allows for drying & kiln firing. Single sessions may be available by special arrangement

Terms & Conditions

Bookings essential, payment is required prior to commencement of classes. Smocks/Aprons provided, please dress your child appropriately, in old clothes as clay can be messy. NO THONGS OR SANDALS ALLOWED

Please collect finished pieces by 18 May 2019.

Studio Artemis Management reserves the right to discard pieces not collected within this given period.
