Limestone Sculpting Workshop for Children/Teenagers

This workshop encourages children to explore the design principles and application techniques used in limestone carving. Participants will create a limestone sculpture using supplied materials in 30 million year old limestone rock.

Children will carve stone using chisels, mallets and files, the soft nature of the stone allows forms to emerge from the geometric block with a complete metamorphosis from a solid block to completed sculpted form.

A full day session is required so pieces can be completed & taken home at the end of the session for friends and family to admire.They can be on display inside the home or placed in the garden. No experience necessary.

Cost: $100.00 includes limestone & all sculpting materials

Terms & Conditions: Bookings essential. Payment is required one week prior to workshop commencement. Payment will secure your place. Please dress children appropriately, in old clothes as materials can be messy, aprons provided. Please ensure you dress children warmly if weather is cold. No open toed shoes, thongs or sandals permitted. No admittance to studio without closed toed shoes
